I started drawing cartoons in 2017 and became inspired to create cartoons that would make you laugh and think of our current time. After Trump’s loss in 2020, I joined my fellow patriots and we took our loss graciously. The last 4 years under the Biden Residency has been cruel punishment to see the America I grew up was changing before my eyes. With Trump’s huge win of the 2024 election, I’m once again feeling optimistic in the future of America.

Bio
In 2016 Donald Trump’s presidential victory inspired artist Francesca Benevento to become a political cartoonist under the pseudonym Dante Cartoons—a name she selected in memory of her late Zío Dante. Originally launched as a lively social media presence, Dante Cartoons soon expanded into a limited edition Trump calendar and book, as well as finding syndication in The Rogue Review. Also creating Decision 2016 original political sketch cards.
In her professional career, Francesca is a visual and graphic artist whose work in the design industry includes 10 years as Creative Director at Wham-O Toys. Her experience spans conceptual strategy, product packaging, as well as catalog and web design.
As a fine artist, her preferred medium is acrylic paint, though she also produces work in color pencils and digital art. She has created hand-painted original artwork for children’s furniture and wall murals for private art collections. Her paintings have been displayed in galleries throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington DC, and Japan. As an illustrator Francesca created multiple character illustrations from the TV show “Once Upon A Time.”
Until now, Francesca has kept her identity anonymous in order to establish free artistic expression, and with the enthusiastic support of readers, she looks forward to creating fun and thought-provoking cartoons for years to come.
